Standard rates are $120 + tax per night on weekends for two people, and $85 + tax for single occupancy. Weekend reservations require a two night stay. During the week from Monday to Thursday guests can enjoy a two night stay for $195 + tax for a savings of over 15%; enough to buy most folks a tank of gas.
There is an additional charge for more than two guests in a room, as well as in AR Tower, our largest room.

Phil Faudi is also available to conduct guided tours of the west slope for those wishing to view NS mainline operations from a number of different venues; and Phil does the driving!
Many of our guests enjoyed Phil's tours so much that they are planning a return visit to experience more west slope action. CANCELLATION POLICY: More than 14 days prior to your stay there is no charge. Within 14 days of your stay, a charge for one night will be assessed.

The Inns' railroad motiff is highlighted by country quilts and shaker furniture. Occupancy is limited to two people per room except for our first floor suite, AR Tower, which can accomodate up to four people, has no stairs and is HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE.
CHILDREN MUST BE OVER THE AGE OF TEN (10).
All suites have private baths, cable TV & refrigerators. The Inn is non-smoking and air-conditioned. A chiminea on the deck helps take the chill out of cool evenings, and serves as a gathering point for our guests. Special arrangements can be made for weddings, reunions, and other occasions. If there is something special taking place in the Gallitzin/Altoona area please call or e-mail us; we would be happy to accomodate your lodging needs.
Traffic remains heavy from Thursday through Monday noon, with significant trailer, intermodal and coal train movements; empty hoppers going west and loads headed east. Most coal trains have two or three road units on the point, and one or two sets of helpers on the rear. AMTRAK trains are down to two per day. There are daily meets at the tunnel, either east/west or two westbounds emerging from the tunnel. Recent motive power has included UP, BNSF, and various leased units.
Weather concerns are no longer a problem with the addition of a roof over our deck, and floodlights allow our guests to watch trains when the sun goes down. Our chiminea takes care of the evening chill, and helps guests to mingle and mix.
This year we have added high speed wireless internet for our guests, allowing them to stay in touch with family, friends and other railfans.
